Immigration and public opinion

This webinar will explore recent trends in immigration and public opinion in Unama’ki–Cape Breton and across Atlantic Canada. By examining and contextualizing local-level data and pairing it with first-hand stories, the session will help attendees gather a picture of historical trends, current realities, and future projections. Presenters will address demographic data as well as findings from national and regional public opinion polls. The webinar will further include accounts from newcomers and settlement workers to better understand the on-the-ground implications of policy and opinion shifts. This webinar is presented in collaboration by ARAISA and the Cape Breton Local Immigration Partnership (CBLIP). The webinar will be presented in English with simultaneous interpretation available in French.
