SUMMARY:Immigration Data 101: An Introduction to Databases and Datasets
DESCRIPTION:This webinar will introduce key databases and datasets related to immigration\, settlement\, and integration with a focus on Atlantic Canada. Accurate and timely data is needed to understand newcomer populations and design services that meet their diverse needs. While there is limited research on immigration in the Atlantic provinces\, there are several databases that publicly provide original and relatively recent data. Knowing how to access and use these databases can help service providers with program design and delivery\, grant writing\, and newcomer engagement.
