About the Presenter
Briana Miller
Briana Miller (she/her) is a queer woman, facilitator, youth engagement specialist, and settlement worker with over 20 years of experience supporting youth, strengthening communities, and advancing social change. She has led youth engagement initiatives, provincial youth summits, participatory leadership programs, and professional development for youth-serving practitioners across Nova Scotia and beyond.
Her facilitation practice is grounded in intersectional, trauma- and violence-informed, and participatory approaches that centre youth voices and shared leadership. Briana is passionate about creating inclusive spaces where young people feel empowered to participate, contribute, and lead.
With over 11 years of experience in the settlement sector, including work with YMCA Immigrant Services and gender-based violence prevention initiatives for agencies serving immigrants, Briana brings a strong understanding of culturally responsive youth engagement and community-based practice.
