To understand the role of immigration in shaping the demographics and economy of New Brunswick we:

• Collected and tabulated data on immigration to New Brunswick for the period 2001 – 2024, with a focus on economic objectives of immigration

• Provide a descriptive analysis of the data to understand the demographic and geographic dimensions of immigration to New Brunswick as they relate to the economic objectives of immigration

• Identify some gaps in research that can provide necessary information for an informed public policy discussion on immigration and to implement immigrant attraction, integration and retention strategies in the province
