Supporting Organizations Supporting Immigrants
The Atlantic Region Association of Immigrant Serving Agencies (a.k.a. ARAISA) is a non-profit umbrella organization that has been providing support to the settlement and integration sector in Atlantic Canada for the past 25 years.
ARAISA currently counts 17 Anglophone and Francophone member organizations in the provinces of New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. We are a growing organization and are continually striving to increase representation of the sector through our membership.
Our ultimate goal is to help settlement and integration organizations in the region fulfill their mission and help newcomers create a new life in Atlantic Canada.
ARAISA decided to focus on mental health for its fall 2019 professional development event: Trauma & Resilience-Informed Approach to Mental Health.
In February 2019, ARAISA, in conjunction with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), convened a meeting with over 80 AIP stakeholders
We are excited to announce the launch of our new logo, branding and website! Don’t worry, we are still us, only… better! Over the past 25 years, ARAISA has evolved a lot. We are undergoing some very exciting and positive changes
