Support for grassroots organizations working with newcomers in Atlantic Canada

April 29, 2026

Led by ARAISA, in collaboration with the New Brunswick Multicultural Council (NBMC), and funded through the IRCC Equity Stream, the Equity Project supports organizations led by and serving equity-deserving populations in Atlantic Canada to increase their participation in the settlement sector.

We’re proud to announce the 16 recipients of the Equity Project in Atlantic Canada. This funding recognizes their important work and their need for support to grow stronger and more sustainable, so they can continue serving newcomers.

Organizations were nominated by a committee of 12 people from across Atlantic Canada through a rigorous process that ensured regional and diverse representation. The strong response we received (76 applications in total) speaks to the real interest and need among grassroots organizations working with newcomers.
