The Operation Ukraine Safe Haven National Secretariat launched a centralized portal to reinforce initiatives emerging from Provincial-Territorial service coordination tables. The ukrainesafehaven.ca website features the latest information on the Ukrainian humanitarian movement, the opportunity to volunteer, offer accommodation, job offers and donations. Visit the website

  • Ukraine immigration measures: Key figures
    On this regularly updated page, IRCC provides key numbers on Ukrainian citizens who have arrived in Canada and the Canada-Ukraine authorization for emergency travel (CUAET).
  • Financial Assistance to help Ukrainian families who are in Canada under the Canada-Ukraine authorization for emergency travel (CUAET). OCASI hosted a webinar on this financial income support program; you can watch it here.
  • Canada expands overseas services for Ukrainians
    The Honourable Sean Fraser, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, announced the launch of the new Canada Information Centre (CI Centre) in Warsaw, Poland. The CI Centre will offer in-person information services to Ukrainian applicants.
  • New partnership to help Ukrainians come to Canada
    The Honourable Sean Fraser, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, announced a new Ukraine2Canada Travel Fund, which will be launched in partnership with Miles4Migrants, The Shapiro Foundation and Air Canada and will build on the Government of Canada’s support for Ukrainians wishing to travel to Canada.
  • Canada expands settlement support for Ukrainians coming to Canada
    The Honourable Sean Fraser, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, announced that Canada is offering temporary federal support to help Ukrainians settle in their new communities. Settlement Program services, which are typically only available to permanent residents, will soon be extended until March 31, 2023, for temporary residents in Canada eligible under the Canada-Ukraine authorization for emergency travel (CUAET).
  • Canada-Ukraine authorization for emergency travel (CUAET)
    The CUAET was created to help Ukrainians and their family members come to Canada as quickly as possible and to provide them with the ability to work and study while in Canada.
    The CUAET also gives those who are already in Canada the option to extend their visitor status, work permit or study permit to continue to live and work or study in Canada temporarily.
